Nepal Chemists and Druggists Association, the central and unified voice of Nepal’s pharmaceutical trade sector, representing importers, wholesalers, retailers, and drug professionals across the country.We exist to ensure that safe, effective, and quality medicines reach every community while protecting the rights and interests of our members.
Vision
To build a healthy and prosperous nation by ensuring that every citizen of Nepal has access to safe, effective, and quality medicines. We aim to create a pharmaceutical system that is well-regulated, transparent, and trusted, where medicines are distributed responsibly and ethically. We envision a future where Nepal’s drug supply chain is efficient, modern, and reliable, supporting both public health and national development. By strengthening professional standards and encouraging innovation, we strive to position the pharmaceutical sector as a key contributor to the country’s healthcare system and economy.
Mission
To ensure the availability and accessibility of quality medicines across Nepal while maintaining fairness and professionalism in the pharmaceutical trade. We work to unite all stakeholders—including importers, wholesalers, retailers, and pharmacists—under a common platform for collaboration and coordinated growth. We are dedicated to promoting ethical practices, proper drug handling, and responsible distribution systems, ensuring that medicines are supplied safely and efficiently. We actively collaborate with government authorities to support policy-making, improve regulations, and address challenges within the sector. Through training, awareness programs, and continuous professional development, we aim to enhance the knowledge and capacity of our members, ultimately contributing to better healthcare outcomes for the public.
Objectives
1) To develop and safeguard the pharmaceutical trade in Nepal by creating a stable and organized system, 2) To maintain unity and cooperation among all members involved in the drug business for collective progress, 3) To ensure proper import, distribution, and sale of medicines while maintaining quality and safety standards, 4) To advise and collaborate with the government on drug policies, laws, and regulatory frameworks, 5) To maintain fairness in pricing and trade practices to protect both consumers and businesses, 6) To promote ethical and professional standards in all pharmaceutical activities, 7) To support training, education, and awareness programs for the continuous improvement of members, and 8) To contribute to public health and social responsibility initiatives for overall community well-being.
